"The day which we fear as our last is but the birthday of eternity."
Lucius Annaeus SenecaThis memorial website was created to remember
Mike Cavender who was born in
Spokane Washington on
June 7, 1946 and passed away on
January 3, 2013.
Mike is well known and respected for his contribution to and support of the arts in the Inland Northwest; in particular, the music scene. As an entertainment agent, he at one time managed an upwards of 40 bands, nearly 30 venues, and controlled 90% of the market. He loved his musicians, his bands, his community and, most of all, his family.
You will always remain in our hearts, Mike.

My Dear Mike;
I always have liked and respected you very much, and I will remember you with fondness for all of our good business we did, and
our friendship over the decades. Save me a space.
Your Friend Always,
You are so blessed to me with our father in Heaven now, looking down on all of us, and especially the one you love the most, with a smile on your face and a heart filled with love and peace.
You are a very loved man Mike, and will continue to be for many, many years to come. I look at all of your pictures and see such a happy man, that lived a full life with family and friends.
I am so gratful that you are in a better place and have on more pain in your life.
It will be with but a blink of an eye that we will all be up there with you. Until then my dear cousin.

Mike, what a gift and blessing you brought to my life and so many others. I so enjoyed our friendship and interlinking lives of music
we both shared. I have endless fond and joyous memories of our time we shared with each other and soe many friends
and musicians. My mind boggles from the endless streaming memories I am having from all the bands I was in that you booked
and haging out talking about reality and love and human condition and of course music. You booked and came to most gigs
from all the bands I played in. That made it so much better and made all of us feel cared for. We all loved you!
Thank you for all the laughter we shared! How wonderful How wonderous the love! I am so blessed!! God be with you... Always in my heart! Jerry D.

Hey, Mike: I know that you are looking down on us. Keep the Big Guy on my side if you don't mind. You were an inspitation
to me in many, many areas of weakness in my walk with my and your Lord Jesus Christ. I was always too quick to condemn,
get angry, to have contempt for those that I thought stupid, etc. You always showed me the heart of Christ when it came to
these things. You are only one of two guys that I could talk to for a long time and laugh, cry, get serious or just go over the
sports of the day. Thanks for all that. It was great to have you hear as a friend. You are one of those men that I truly loved.
Mike, you loved your God. You called to Him as a young boy...and in the trenches & bushes in Viet Nam. You called on Him and surrendered your heart when all seemed to be falling down around you. And you worshipped Him with all your heart when you knew you had only days left on this earth. You are worshipping him at His feet now. That makes me smile. I miss you. I appreciate all you have done for me...given me...especially my children. I will be there in just a blink of an eye, my friend. You willl always be with me. I love you, Kath
